    Joust on 2600

Is in my opinion the best Atari game ever made. I'm looking for a cocktail cabinet right now.

Never played Joust on a 2600, but I used to have a Joust LCD keychain that would stay in my pocket so I could take it out and sneak in some play time while I was in elementary school. I should go digging for that thing, it might still be hanging around somewhere.

Joust is on my eventual 2600 to get list, but I'm keeping my eyes widely peeled for a Starpath Supercharger. Atari games being played from a cassette player plugged into a 2600 sounds like a good time to me.

I love LCD games. I have Mario one, donkey kong and cement factory.

Nice, I've been getting more into them lately, but haven't picked any up. I found a fighting one based off of the Small Soldiers movie but got too frustrated trying to get the display to stop going in and out to play it for long.

I love Joust, it's such an addictive game. I can't remember the last time I played it though.

sorry Keith I'm gonna go Poindexter on you for a second...

technically the 2600 version of Joust was a port of the Williams arcade game. while the mechanics are the same, the Williams game is clearly superior.

there, got that out of my system. the coolest part of that cocktail version is that the 1 and 2 player controls are on the same side, so you sit side by side with another player during 2 player games. good luck getting a cocktail cabinet of Joust. those are pretty rare. they are so rare that there is only one that I know of. Steve Sanders of King of Kong fame, has it in his home in Kansas City.
