    Introduction Thread

Post by Czernobog on Wed May 04, 2011 9:47 am

    A thread to make introductions!

As the OP, I feel it's entirely appropriate that I go first:

I hopped over here, as I know some of you other guys did, from Racketboy.

I'm a huge retro gamer but I don't shun the new stuff. Check my sig for the consoles I currently have my hands on. I also regularly make posts to a blog called Gaming Through the Ages which can be found in my sig if anyone's interested. I joined this forum for two reasons; I love talking classics, and I love to watch Talking Classics. Looking forward to having some fun discussions here and hopefully meeting some new people!

What's up guys, I'm YoshiEgg25, but you can call me Yoshi. I found my way here through Keith's posting on Facebook, but I, like the dudes that posted above me, am a Racketboy member.

I'm a 19 year old college student with a bunch of gaming systems, including two NESs, two Dreamcasts, and three GameCubes, among others. I'm a huge Pokémon fan, running my own competitive battling website that's now three months old.

I'm also enough of a fan of Keith that I won his items in the 2010 Racketboy Charity Auction. Hopefully I can get some pics of that stuff for everyone.

I think that's all you need to know about me for now. Razz

    Hello, Talkingclassics.

My name's Frank and I've made my rounds around many of the forums that the other members of the site have under the same username I have here. I'm big into retro console and arcade gaming. I still play current generation stuff, but over the past few years I've pretty much let all new releases slip off my radar as I'm more interested in getting ahold of games I missed playing as a kid.

I run a classic gaming website and forum HeyPoorPlayer, http://www.heypoorplayer.com, drink entirely too much coffee, and like to go to the zoo to watch the monkeys make amore.

Well, that about sums me up.

Little do you know that I have a factory in the jungle producing robotic versions of Keith Apicary that will crush the city with their Rambo might. We'll see how you like the taste of flaming fists. Twisted Evil

Hey, I'm Mike and I'm a 21 year old college student.
I saw this posted on Nathan's twitter (the only reason I signed up for twitter in the first place!), and had to check it out.
Absolutely love the show, especially the convention episodes. It inspires me to get up and...do stuff

Yeah, I really like the Virtual Boy for being so unique. I've only got Mario Tennis and Mario Clash right now, but I really need to get my hands on Wario Land. I used to play it at my friends house when the Virtual Boy was new and it was mind boggling to me. So much fun jumping between foreground and background in that game.

I'm Mykle. Some people may know me as "Sonic the Human" from youtube and screwattack. I enjoy cartooning, playing new and oldschool games and I enjoy making videos

I'm here pretty much for the same reasons as Czernobog. Plus it's a forum... run by Keith Apicary. There's nothing more awesome than that Wink

Hi! Saw Keith's post on facebook, but I'm also a member of Racketboy though I've been neglecting to go there lately. They make me feel lame for not being as awesome as they are. Sad

I absolutely love the style of this forum and the website. That old gaudy Geocities/AOL page thing is something I really love. I'm into old retro websites with no proofreading. Just find them fascinating.

Not that this website is any of those things because Keith Apicary is a computer whiz.

I'm a huge fan of Keith's, and I found my way here from one of his facebook posts. I found out about Keith from one of his friends, Nathan. I'm not sure if you guys know him or not. He's a pretty cool dude, but his Trials HD scores could be better.

Anyway, I love videogames, retro and current. I play terrible music in terrible bands, and draw terrible pictures and post them on the terrible internet. I look forward to chatting with some cool gamer buddies.

Oh yeah, and I make terrible Trials HD scores.

Which are still better than Nathans.

    Hi, I'm ihatepeace22!

Before I begin, no, I don't REALLY hate peace, it's just a username I made up a couple of years ago, thinking it sounded "cool" (I was young!)

I first found Keith when he was featured on Screwattack. I really liked his awesome taste in video-games, and when I met him in person at SGC, I learned that he was an awesome high-jumper as well Laughing

I learned of this forum from his tweets, and after learning of the awesome incentive of internet currency of no current value, I just couldn't resist.

I enjoy retro games, retro game music, retro game culture, multiplayer games, and lurking on the internet Very Happy

O hai. I'm AARST and I am well known for my nice long-and-strongs.

Big fan of Mr. Apicary and his work, winner of the Racketboy Charity Auction Keith Apicary swag pack, including the one-of-a-kind Talking Classics Genesis game. It blew my mind. Twice.
