Gaming Through the Ages Blog (Czernobog's Blog)

Post by Czernobog on Fri May 06, 2011 1:38 am

Alright, this is just a thread which I'll update whenever I add articles to my blog that I think members here might enjoy.

I'll only update this thread when I add my larger articles (I have tiny little ones I write whenever I finish a game I don't plan on fully reviewing). Yeah I'm sort of plugging my site with this, but I'll only update this thread when it's a little more substantial of an article and I genuinely think members here will find it interesting. Of course, anyone can talk to me about the blog, ask me questions here, etc. and I'll be happy to respond.

The blog is at http://gamingthroughtheages.blogspot.com/ and already has quite a few articles that can be perused through. I like taking photographs so I try to break up the text with lots of my own photos to make it all a little easier on the eyes. The exception is the Ideal Collection articles which use stock photos.

There's also a Youtube channel I haven't done much with yet that has one video so far, but more will be dropping as time permits. You can check that out here if you're interested: http://www.youtube.com/user/GamingThroughTheAges?feature=mhum

Shameless are't we? Just kidding bro. You have a cool blog, I'd seen it from racketboy.

Really good work on the photography.

Yeah, it was the one exclusive I had to have when I first heard about it.

    UPDATE:

Threw up a new article today: My Ideal Collection Famicom Exclusives:

    http://gamingthroughtheages.blogspot.com/2011/05/my-ideal-collection-famicom-exclusives.html

Give it a look if you're interested in some of the experiences the Famicom had to offer but the NES didn't

    UPDATES GALORE:

    well actually just three updates

    1. I'm tentatively trying out adsense on the site. If it turns out not to be worth it, then I will remove it. So far the number of visitors to the blog has kept increasing since adding the adverts. I expected a dip in visits, so it's a good sign that traffic has continued to increase. I also added a Google search bar to the top of the page which allows users to search the blog.

    2. I've decided to begin doing Quick Play videos. Essentially, I give my thoughts on a game as I play the first section or two. These are unedited and quick to produce so I plan on popping out at least one a week. You can check out the first one here: http://gamingthroughtheages.blogspot.com/2011/06/video-2-astyanax-for-nes.html

    3. I recently collaborated on an article for Racketboy.com by writing a segment on the SNK Vs. Capcom Card Fighter's Clash Series for the Neo Geo Pocket. You can check that out here: http://gamingthroughtheages.blogspot.com/2011/06/capcom-vs-snk-card-fighters-clash.html A link to the larger article on Racketboy can be found near the top of the blog post.
