My game room is currently a work in progress since I only recently began renting my own place. (All thumbnails, click for larger version)

I'll begin by saying the BlackBerry takes terrible pictures.

First it was like, free couch and sweet 30 Euro Philips MatchLine TV:

Then several trips to IKEA later:

And then I filled all the crannies:

The TV has 4 SCART connections, 2 of which support RGB, one RCA set and S-video on the right side.
The silver device underneath the TV is a SCART receiver that allows me to connect 4 more RGB SCART devices, 4 more devices over composite, 4 more over S-video and 4 Optical audio connections, which the TV also supports.

That allows me to connect 5 consoles in brilliant RGB SCART, 5 in fancy S-video, 7 in quite-alright RCA/non-RGB SCART and of course one over RF. I don't have 18 game consoles... But I could!

I guess a few rooms of my house could be considered game rooms, as there's hardly a room that isn't set up with gaming in mind.

Here's my living room. Don't mind all the clutter, I have a three year old so stuff piles up quickly. I do all of my classic gaming in this room and use a 33'' Sony Trinotron TV. I love how this TV treats my retro systems.

My office also has a lot of gaming goodies.

My family room has a few more cabs and all of my current gen stuff, but that'll have to wait till I get the room tidied up a bit.

Thanks Marulu. I had it all set up much better before but things got moved around a lot over the past year. Sometime soon I hope to get it all consolidated again.

Yeah, so I'm a little late to the thread...holy mother of....deadpixels...your living room is amazing.

Also, AARST I like the way you've set up your shelving quite a lot and Mykle, I really dig the way you showcase your collection. It shows that you're proud of your interests.

Wow, thanks guys. I didn't expect such a reaction, I appreciate the kind words. I guess I'm a big homebody, so I try to make sure my house is equipped to keep me entertained. Smile

As for the utilities Chapel, I honestly haven't noticed much of a difference since we bought the house. I can tell you that when I had all my cabs (plus another which I sold because I wasn't crazy about it) back at my old apartment, my utility bill somehow rivaled what my house bill is currently.

Here's the old apartment setup getting a workout.

I know that this is not a competition, but I still feel I'm losing hard to deadpixels... That is one damn impressive collection

Anyway, here are some better pictures of my gaming room

    I love my 32x... Smile

Still got a bunch of boxes to unpack though...

Some stuff from the living room (it is in desperate need of my mega cd 32x)

I'm assuming the TV on its side is mandatory Razz

My collection is ... very small in comparison ... I have lots of games, but not lots of systems (i.e. duplicates), nor any arcade boards or cabs ... yet.

    1) That MD/Gen balancing on top of those dreamcasts makes me nervous all the way from here.

    2) Isn't putting them by the window like that going to cause damage to the color of boxes from direct sunlight?

    Awesome collection, though!

Ghehe, yeah, that was just temporary, I needed to find a good place for it, it's now sitting on the bottom shelf, I just thought it would make for a fun picture Smile

Chapel wrote:2) Isn't putting them by the window like that going to cause damage to the color of boxes from direct sunlight?

yes it will, I've only just moved in and I removed the ghetto 'sheet' solution for the pictures. I've ordered some of those rolling curtains, in blue, of course Smile But yeah, leaving those boxes in the sun for a longer time would be pretty disastrous.

So, TMM why do you have multiple copies of some of the same game/console. I saw a ton of dreamcasts

Either way, it's still impressive! Just curious

EDIT: YOU HAVE KOLIBRI =D So I'm NOT the only one who knows that games exists XD

There's nothing wrong with duplication. It's always handy if one of your consoles craps out, and personally, if I find a console in better condition than one I have, I'm not opposed to buying rebuying it.

    I currently have these doubles

    Neo Geo Pocket x 3
    NES x 2
    Genesis x 2
    SNES x 2
    Saturn x 3
    PSX x 2
    Game Gear x 2
    Neo Geo MVS x 2
    Jaguar x 2
    Dreamcast x 2

Don't worry TMM, I understand the method to your madness. Smile

I have a bunch of dreamcasts mostly because the lasers are crap Smile I already wore out one, so I decided to 'stock up' when I could still get them for next to nothing Smile I also bought 2 'blind lots' of dreamcast+games (same reason why I have so many megadrives and saturns, 5 and 4 respectively) Also why I have Sonic for MD like 3 times Smile
I didn't exactly overpay on those things though, most of them I got sent to me for free or almost for free. Some people just want to get rid of their crap

Ow heck yeah, it's the 32X's best hummingbird based shooter! Wink

Seriously though, that is an awesome game. The US version is cheap too for the US readers, go get it!

You know, I love horizontal shmups but I never got around to trying Kolibri. I remember being blown away by how colorful the screenshots in magazines were and always wanting to try it. Same goes with Tempo. One of these days I need to start working on my 32X collection again.

Yeah, that too! Plus, I just can't pass up a megadrive for 5 bucks in whatever state it's in Wink

    My doubles:

    Dreamcast x 5
    Saturn x 4
    Atari Lynx x 2
    Playstation 2 x 2
    Playstation 3 x 3 (ironically I only have one playstation 1)
    Megadrive (1,2) x 5
    32x x 2
    PSP x 2
    Sega CD x 2
    MSX x 2
    CD-i (various models) x 3

I think that's it... but some stuff is still in boxes Wink
