My favorite thing besides video games is comics. I like comics of all kinds, though my publisher of choice in American comics is DC, particularly the Vertigo imprint. However, I love me some cape comics and believe that people who don't like superheroes are inherently bad people and shouldn't be trusted. I mean like "better dead than red" Communist witch hunting in the 50's untrustworthy.
I also love Japanese comics, though a lot of the genres aren't my cup of tea.
I've slacked off of reading stuff at the moment with the only thing I'm keeping up with regularly is Jojo's Bizarre Adventure whenever they upload new, translated chapters. It doesn't come out officially in English, so I have to wait for fan translations. My FAVORITE Japanese comic is Trigun/Trigun Maximum.
Favorite American superhero? Green Lantern Kyle Rayner. Favorite American comic? ... uh... I dunno. I read so many lol. Well most recently it would probably be Grant Morrison's Batman run. Non-cape comic... I dunno. I'll not include the fringe cape books in that, so I'll consider Sandman and Swamp Thing "non-cape" since they don't resemble your typical superhero fair. I've tried reading stuff like Stray Bullets and Walking Dead but (with the former) couldn't get into it and (with the latter) grew tired of it. I liked Walking Dead and I read up to issue ~40 (whenever the prison story arc is starting to close) but I just lost interest. I might pick it up again. I didn't like the tv show as they changed some of the characters WAY too much for my liking.
Speaking of: I don't really watch tv, but I keep up with certain shows. My favorite shows on tv now are Parks & Recreation, Archer, American Dad!, and Bob's Burgers. They're the only ones I keep up with regularly. My fiancee has me keeping up with The Office, but I find P&R far funnier. and while I watch AD! and Bob's Burgers I abhor Family Guy, the Cleveland Show, and current/post-1999 Simpsons. I haven't been keeping up with Futurama since the new episodes started, saw the movies though.
I don't catch many movies. I watch superhero movies for the most part just to see them, but I don't go out of my way. I like to watch 70's and 80's horror movies though. Loved them since I was a kid and watched them with my mom.
I don't listen to much music worth talking about. Oh well. Just not my thing.
WHAT DO YOU GUYS DO BESIDES VIDEO GAMES?
